Obesity in the Workplace

I have a strong belief that a healthier workforce is a happier workforce, and a happier workforce is more productive. Being very proud of my level of support and benefits to my staff, I felt it was about time to provide some well-sourced information on the increasingly dangerous problem of obesity in the workplace.

I found Globesity online and thought that their obesity programs looked excellent. They had some very concerning statistics about the dangers to businesses of obesity-related illness, including the 15.5-16 million days of certified sickness directly attributable to obesity in 2002.

I arranged an appointment for one of Globesity’s consultants to visit the company’s offices and give one of their interactive presentations on the dangers and health risks surrounding obesity.

The Globesity consultant was able to provide effective guidance on areas such as exercise, food consumption, nutrition and lifestyle choices to my team and me. We were also provided with some fantastic booklets on how to lead a healthier lifestyle, tips on nutritional meal plans, everyday exercise and general advice on making healthier lifestyle choices.

I have been extremely pleased with Globesity’s services.
