The Fox Inn has been my local for a number of years, and I really can’t speak highly enough of them. Taking pride of place at the top of Much Wenlock High Street with its renowned double sided steps, The Fox is the pride of the Much Wenlock pubs.

Take a step inside and you’ll immediately feel the warmth, not just of the roaring log fire, but the friendly faces of the staff and locals. I moved to Much Wenlock from South Wales a few years ago, but I was straight into friendly conversation the first night I spent in The Fox Inn, despite never meeting any of my new friends before.

The bar at The Fox makes you feel instantly comfortable as you fall back into one of their squashy sofas in front of the fire. Select from their wide range of bottled and draught beers, including the locally brewed Hobson Town Crier from Cleobury Mortimer.

Alternatively, accompany one of their delectable bar snacks with a glass (or bottle!) of one of The Fox’s many fine wines.

If you’re going to be in the vicinity of Much Wenlock, I urge you to make time for at least one drink at The Fox Inn.
